Limb From Limb

The skyline of Los Angeles is identified by its palm trees. Like most of its inhabitants, its population of trees are from elsewhere; they are immigrants. The city receives a continuous face-lift with its mature full-size palm trees being un-dug, beautified and replanted. Limb from Limb is an observation of the uprooting process of Los Angeles’s most famous ‘immigrant’: the palm tree.
Exhibited at Calvert 22 (London, 2008) and Four Corners Gallery (London, 2007).
